To address the subject of strategic prevention of cybercrime with the main focus on the measures to prevent cybercrime related to children and teenagers, we recently held a special session on Cybercrime & Cybersecurity at Belonia English Medium School.
The session addressed the issue of strategic prevention, with emphasis on the fight against cybercrime involving children and teenagers by using education to increase awareness of and knowledge about illegal Internet content and related activities.
Existing initiatives in this field are primarily focused on presenting information in different forms in various Schools & Colleges. However, we believe that developing an educational module and actively executing it in primary schools will help raise both children's and adults' awareness levels.
All target groups require more education about the risks of cybercrime and the value of information safety, according to a preliminary study. Implementing successful preventive strategies across all target groups is crucial for effectively tackling the problem of cybercrime. Therefore, we came to the conclusion that ongoing education is crucial for increasing user awareness and motivating people to incorporate preventive measures into their daily lives.
